- We ask that pets be kept off treated surfaces until they are dry — typically one to two hours. Your pets do not need to leave the house entirely, but they should stay in an untreated area during application and drying. We will coordinate with you on timing.
- How long until the fleas are gone after treatment?
- You should see a significant reduction within 24 to 48 hours. However, flea eggs can continue to hatch for up to two weeks after the initial treatment. A follow-up treatment is often recommended to catch newly hatched fleas before they can reproduce. Full elimination typically takes two to three weeks.
- Do I still need treatment if my pet is on flea prevention?
- Pet flea prevention products protect your pet but do not address fleas in your home or yard. If fleas have already established indoors — in carpet, bedding, or furniture — a professional treatment is the fastest way to eliminate the infestation. Combining pet prevention with home treatment gives you the best results.
- Are ticks a problem on the North Carolina coast?
- Yes. Lone star ticks and American dog ticks are common in coastal NC, especially in wooded areas, tall grass, and leaf litter.
